September 2006: Spengler becomes the official partner of the African Heart Network and of the World Heart Federation.
On the 4th of September 2006 in Barcelona, Spengler, the French company that invented the blood pressure monitor in 1907, signed a protocol of partnership with the World Heart Federation and the African Heart Network, an organization which includes the Heart Foundations of 11 African countries.

Spengler has long been involved in healthcare in Africa and this partnership between Spengler, the WHF and the AHN underlines some of the main aspects of the Spengler Vision, which includes instruments of superlative quality and the chance to give people what is often regrettably denied to them: the freedom to accept responsibility for their health.

In this partnership, stress will be laid on the prevention of arterial hypertension in Africa through education, public tracking, training sessions for healthcare professionals and the widening of the Spengler range to include reliable, entry-level devices made especially for the general public. This range is being developed as a joint project between Spengler and PolyGreen, its sister company.

Thanks to a dense distribution network in more than twenty-five countries, Spengler covers most of the African continent and is continuing its development in this territory.
